School Visits

School visits are keeping us busy and entertained as we love being able to share our farm with curious kids. There have been many puddles splashed in these past weeks!

Now that term has started again for Autumn 2024, we have been busy with school visits. We have been hosting schools from Cumbria, as well as further afield. We have a brilliant relationship with The Outward Bound Trust, which has a centre just down the road from us in Watermillock. Many students who are staying in the village on their residentials are getting to visit the farm, spend time with our animals and learn about our regenerative farming principles.

Claire completed her Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme with support from AHDB and LEAF Education about a year ago and as a result is able to run school visits that are both fun and educational. She is able to tailor the visit activities to the syllabus that teachers would like to cover and usually manages to fit in other learning opportunities whenever she can! The feedback we have had so far has been incredible, with many schools revisiting or planning visits again in the future.

If you’d like to organise a school visit with us, please do get in touch. We are able to host up to 25 visits fully funded per year.
