Lovingly restored with the help of the Farming in Protected Landscape (FiPL) Fund, The Barn has been developed into an educational space which is ideal for school visits, training courses, external events and private hire. Our beautiful barn, grounded in nature with its exposed beams is surrounded by the most stunning Lake District landscape and together with owners Sam and Claire provides a warm welcome, particularly in the cooler months with the roaring wood burner.
Being located on Gowbarrow Hall Farm, if you choose to host your event at The Barn there is ample parking available and you have the option to also add catering to your event using farm produce.

As part of Nature Friendly Farming Week, join us for a morning where you can hear about our farming journey and take a guided walk across the farm, seeing many of our livestock and learn about the many projects we are running.
There will also be an opportunity to buy meat and our leather products.
